Procedure

  1. 1

Click the relationship line to show its toolbar.

  2. 2

If the line needs a note, click Label in the toolbar, and type a few words, such as “no contact since 2019”. The note is written along the line.

  3. 3

If the line should be hidden, click More options in the toolbar, and then click Hide at the foot of the side panel.

  4. 4

If the line should be removed, click Delete line in the toolbar, or press Delete.

  5. 5

To show hidden lines again, click View in the top bar, select the What is drawn tab, and click Show all beside Hidden lines.

Tip

To hide every relationship line at once, click View in the top bar, and clear Relationships in the What is drawn tab.

Labels

A label may contain up to 60 characters. Press ↵ Enter or Esc to close the label field, and click the cross beside the text to remove the label.

Hiding compared with deleting

A hidden line remains part of the chart and can be shown again, whereas a deleted line is removed from it. A deletion can be reversed by clicking Undo in the notice that appears, or by pressing CtrlZ.

Couple lines and child lines

Couple lines and child lines are removed from their own cards. Click a couple line and then click Remove, or click a child line and then click Remove link. Either kind of line can also be removed by clicking it and pressing Delete.
