Add a sticky note
Record on a sticky note what the symbols cannot show, either pinned to a person or placed anywhere on the canvas, and keep private notes out of exported files.
A sticky note holds information for which the notation has no symbol, such as a recent event or a question to follow up. A note pinned to a person moves with that person, and a loose note stays where it is placed.
Procedure
- 1
Press N, or click Note on the tool rail.
- 2
Click an empty part of the canvas, or click a person to pin the note to that person.
- 3
If the note is pinned to a person, click Edit in the toolbar above it.
- 4
Type the text of the note, and then click elsewhere on the canvas.
- 5
Click the note, and use its toolbar to change the typeface, the size, the style or the colour.
- 6
To keep the note out of exports, click Private, the crossed-out eye in the toolbar.
- 7
To change the size of the note, drag the grip at its lower right corner.
A note can also be added from the side panel of a person by opening More and selecting Pin a sticky note. To attach a loose note to someone later, click the link button in its toolbar and then click that person.
A private note appears on the canvas only as “Private note” and is never exported. It is still saved in this browser and in the JSON project file. In Clinical mode, every note is left out of PNG, SVG and PDF files.
